Lookout Mountain Golf Club to offer monthly clinics

Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort will introduce a series of golf clinics designed to help golfers of any skill level improve their game. From proper posture and etiquette to learning the “illusions” of the golf swing and hitting on uneven slopes, the scenic golf course will offer six Saturday morning clinics starting in November, 2012.

The golf clinics will be taught in a small group class format to ensure every student receives individual attention from the professional instructors. The 45-minute clinics will begin at 10:30 a.m. Following each clinic, the driving range will be available for participants to practice their skills.

The scheduled clinics are:
Nov. 17 – How to hit a quick and the easy
Dec. 8 – Golf Overview: Learn how to grip, posture, alignment and balance
Jan. 19 – Short Game Skills Phase 1: putting, chipping and on-course etiquette
Feb. 16 – Short Game Skills Phase 2: pitching, sand shots and on-course etiquette
March 16 – Full Swing: the “illusions” of the golf swing
April 20 – Uneven Lies: Learn to hit the ball on an uneven slope

The golf club has won various awards and titles, including the Golf Digest Four Star Award for nine consecutive years.
