Was your New Year’s resolution to repair your ball mark when you hit a green? Are you keeping the resolution? Do you know how to properly fix a ball mark? From what I have seen recently on the golf course greens in the Valley of the Sun many golfers have forgotten the number one rule of golf ettiquette; leave the golf course in better condition than you found it. This includes properly fixing ball marks on the greens. The following is the proper way to repair a ball mark on the greens as illustrated by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America:

I personally challenge myself to see how perfectly I can repair a ball mark. It is my goal to make sure that you cannot telI a ball made a mark on the green.  I hope this inspires you to take care of the greens on the golf courses you play so they will be better for the next time you play them.
