Green joined two other 2013 Hall of Fame inductees who were recognized at the recent Southwest Section PGA Awards Dinner held in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 11, 2013. The Southwest Section PGA Hall of Fame Committee, comprised of prominent section professionals and other golf industry leaders, annually selects Hall of Fame award winners. The inscription on the plaque for the Hall of Fame winners reads:

“The highest honor the Southwest Section PGA can bestow. This faithful PGA Professional will be forever remembered for his significant and endearing contributions to the game of golf and the Southwest Section PGA.”

Green has made significant impact to the game of golf, and has dedicated over three decades of service to the Southwest Section PGA. In 1994, he was recognized by his peers as the Southwest Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year, and he also served in leadership positions for the organization including the Board of Directors, Vice President, and President. Today, he is the Chief Operating Officer for Scottsdale-based OB Sports, one of the leading golf management firms in the United States. His contributions to golf in the Southwest Section continues to grow today as OB Sports manages 12 facilities and consults on six others within Arizona, and manages five facilities in Las Vegas. Both Arizona and Las Vegas fall within the boundaries of the Southwest Section of the PGA.

“On behalf of the entire OB Sports team, we offer our utmost congratulations to Phil for this fantastic honor”, stated C.A. Roberts, President/Principal of OB Sports. “We are proud of his many contributions to the success of OB Sports and our golf properties; but moreover, we’re so pleased to see him recognized for his many contributions to the growth of the game of golf in Arizona and Nevada, and to the countless PGA professionals he has mentored over the years.”
