McDowell Mountain Golf Club unveils new Clubhouse and launches new Mesquite Grille

McDowell Mountain Golf Club recently unveiled their new clubhouse and launched their new restaurant, the Mesquite Grille. Designed by Arizona-based PHX Architecture, the new Clubhouse expands upon the dining opportunities, provides climate controlled/enclosed space for special events and ultimately positions the clubhouse as a gathering place for the community, golfing and non-golfing guests.

Indoor square footage of the jClubhouse increases from 8,000 to 12,000 square feet with the new facility. Additional features include a large covered outdoor dining terrace, indoor/outdoor bar, upgraded restroom facilities, new locker rooms and enclosure of the existing event space for larger group gatherings. The materials utilized throughout the Clubhouse are all native and in keeping with not only the McDowell Mountain Ranch neighborhood, but also the desert environs of Scottsdale. One of the most dramatic features of this new Clubhouse is how the new facility takes full advantage of the spectacular vistas towards the West and the dramatic views of Scottsdale and the Valley of Sun.

The centerpiece for the new Clubhouse is the new Mesquite Grille restaurant and wine bistro. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Mesquite Grille offers casual dining in an upscale yet comfortable environment. Under direction of Chef Mark Hamilton (who most recently was the Executive Chef for the private Rim Club in Payson, Arizona), the culinary experience at Mesquite Grille serves up tasty American and Southwest favorites. Additional menu inspiration includes cuisine featuring both Mediterranean and Midwest inspired Chicago-Italian cuisine. Originals include homemade sausage, pasta tossed with fresh vegetables, fresh seafood with reduced balsamic vinaigrette, fresh herbs and the like, plus a few surprises mixed in for good measure. Entrées that go deliciously with your favorite glass of wine, while taking in the great views of Scottsdale from Mesquite Grille’s outdoor terrace or cozy, yet contemporary restaurant.

The Mesquite Grille décor captures a unique blend of contemporary elegance with comforts of Scottsdale living such as native woods, sleek design accents and an expansive natural mesquite wood bar top, which provided inspiration for the restaurants name. The dining experience is topped off with an expansive wine list featuring savory blends, interesting reds, refreshing chardonnays and more.

The new Clubhouse facility adds to what has been an extensive facility enhancement program that started in 2011 with enhancements to the golf course itself led by golf course architect Randy Heckenkemper.
