OB Sports Golf Management appoints new Senior VP of Operations

OB Sports Golf Management announced the appointment of Mark Woodward as Senior Vice President of Operations.

Woodward is responsible for further bolstering the support and services provided by OB Sports to its more than 45 golf properties throughout the U.S. His addition to the team supplies added experience in the areas of municipal operations, golf course maintenance and all other facets of golf course operations.

Prior to OB Sports, Woodward dedicated more than 40 years of his professional life to the golf industry, serving in many roles such as golf course superintendent, golf facility manager, municipal parks and recreation director, municipal golf operations director, chief executive officer of a national golf association, business development manager for a golf course construction company, and owner of a golf consulting business and remodeling firm.

For his efforts Woodward was recognized by Golf Inc. magazine as one of golf’s “Most Admired Operators” in 2006, as well as one of the top 35 “Most Powerful People in Golf” in 2008 and 2009.

Woodward earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental resources from Arizona State University. He later received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and has served in numerous boards and advisory committees in and out of the golf industry.
