Junior Golf Association of Arizona alumni to Play Collegiate Golf

Arizona’s leading junior golf program, the Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) is wrapping up its busy summer season. Each year, the JGAA hosts and conducts dozens of tournaments, educational programs, clinics and activities for youths of all ages. This year, the JGAA is proud to announce that upon finishing high school, many JGAA members will continue their golf careers at the collegiate level after participating in the NCAA early signing period.

Two of those members finished the summer season with strong performances in the JGAA’s most recent champate Katie Dunaway finished runner-up at the Arizona Junior Match Play Championship at Desert Forest Golf Club. Dunaway will attend Sacramento State University on a golf scholarship this fall.

More than 30 additional JGAA members participated in the NCAA early signing, including: Carly Akine – Northern Arizona University • George Cunningham – University of Arizona • Colton Estevez – Grand Canyon University • Mike McGilton – New Mexico State University • Connor Nam – Pepperdine University • Randy Ross – University of New Mexico • Austin Stadeli – University of Arizona • Sam Triplett – Northwestern University.
