The JGAA and Troon Golf announce the “Troon Cup” for junior golfers

Special offer for JGAA Boys Golf Club events held at Troon Golf facilities

In their ever-continuing efforts to attract new players to the game of golf, the Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) and Troon Golf recently unveiled the “Troon Cup” for the JGAA Boys Golf Club junior golf tournaments.

The Troon Cup series of events will be held in conjunction with the Boys Golf Club events hosted by Troon Golf managed golf facilities. The first event will be held at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Event number two will be staged at the Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale on May 8, 2010. The finale will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. A system where participants accumulate points at each event will ensure that the Troon Cup champion will be crowned at the culminating Cup event.

The JGAA Boys Golf Club is a developmental golf tournament program open to boys ages 5-14. The Club is designed to encourage participants to have fun, learn basic fundamentals of the game and provide an opportunity to advance and grow by playing from appropriate yardages for each skill level.

“The Troon Cup series of events will be a marvelous opportunity for young golfers to experience three of the best golf facilities in the state. Troon Golf has been so supportive of our junior golf programs over the years but this new series clearly demonstrates their commitment to growing the game,” said Sean Ferris, JGAA Assistant Executive Director.
