David Keller joins the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center as National Golf Sales Manager

With the recent addition of David Keller as National Golf Sales Manager, the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center is teeing off to maximize group bookings and stay-and-play packages with the nearby award-winning We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.

A native of the UK, Keller brings 11 years of hospitality experience to his new position. Before joining the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center, he was the National Sales Manager at the Wigwam, where he increased revenue by 75 percent in his market segment of group sales within the Mid-Atlantic and Western states, associations and golf groups. From 2008 to 2011, he held the same position at the Zona Hotel & Suites, where he regularly exceeded goals in his leisure, group and corporate guest market segment by 140 percent. Prior to that, he served as Golf and Leisure Sales Manager at the Resort Suites in Scottsdale, where he organized golf tournaments for groups of 100+ players, and provided vacation packages to corporate and transient guests.

Before entering the hospitality arena, Keller served as the Director of Legal Services and Human Resources for Redbridge Court in London, England for ten years, after receiving law degrees from the University of Middlesex and the College of Law. While this field provided him with valuable experience, Keller is pleased with the direction his career has since taken. “At this point in my life, I’d rather practice golf than practice law,” said Keller.

“Over the past year, we’ve placed an even greater emphasis on partnering with We-Ko-Pa Golf Club to offer new and returning guests an exceptional golf experience,” said Craig Benell, acting General Manager of the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center. “David will enable us to take that relationship to the next level by encouraging more groups to incorporate golf into their meetings and special events, and by leveraging our luxurious accommodations and amenities with the golf club’s award-winning golf courses to offer them a truly unique Sonoran Desert destination.”
