Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia to host World Golf Scramble qualifying event June 8


Open to the public, amateur golfers are encouraged to participate

Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia in Peoria, will host the local qualifying event for the World Golf Scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., June 8 to earn an invitation to compete in the World Championships in Las Vegas, August 13-16.

The World Golf Scramble is a four-person compeag in 130 local qualifying events in an attempt to earn an invitation to compete in the World Championships. The grand prize from the progressive purse is estimated at $100,000 in the World Finals.

Blackstone Country Club is Arizona’s only private golf club participating in the World Golf Scramble qualifying event.

Cost for tournament play is $150 per player or $600 for a foursome. The entry fee includes golf carts, green fees, range balls, $10 in golf shop credit and a year-long subscription to Golf Digest. Top finishers will receive gift cards to the Blackstone Country Club golf shop and an invitation to compete at the World Championships in Las Vegas. Teams advancing to the World Finals will be guaranteed a payout from the progressive purse.
