Southwest Seniors Golf Association’s event held June 8th at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club

A spectacular day, course, views, scoring and event was enjoyed at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club. Director of Golf, Matt Brooks, and the staff hosted the Southwest Seniors Golf Association (SWSGA) with exceptional ease and created a most welcome atmosphere.

Murphy Mitchell, who just finished winning the AGA Senior Match Play Championship, continued his wonderful play posting the low round for the day and Low Gross Amateur honors with 68! Low Professional was shared by Gerry Norquist and Randy Wittig at 69. Amateur Low Net honors was shared by Fred Bowers, Mick McKenzie and Murphy Mitchell at 67. In the team competition professional Chip Gariss led his amateur teammates; John Schroeder, Steve Jackson and L. Don Brown to victory at 127. Both closest to the pin competitions were won by amateurs Cyrus Whitney and Guy Cannon, each winning one dozen Titlest Pro V-1s.
