2015 OB Sports National Team Championship presented by Visit Tucson

2015 OB Sports Team Championship champs from Sandia Golf Club in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The team from Sandia Golf Club, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, won the 2015 OB Sports Team Championship with a final score of 396. They outlasted the team from ASU Karsten Golf Course, in Tempe, Arizona, who finished close behind with a team total of 405. Two teams tied for third place, Eagle Mountain Golf Club and Longbow Golf Club, shooting a total score of 406. This marks the second time Sandia Golf Club has come out on top; they notched their first victory in the event’s inaugural run in 2007.

“It’s just a lot of fun to play in this event,” said Dale Moseke, Vice President Sales and Marketing for OB Sports Golf Management. “Each year we bring together golfers from across the clubs we manage for an early winter getaway. And although we have a lot of fun, things do get a little competitive out there. Thanks to Randolph Golf Complex, Visit Tucson, Titleist and Under Armour Golf, it was another huge success for the players who made the trip to Tucson.”

In total, nearly 180 national qualifiers participated in the event, representing 22 OB Sports-affiliated golf clubs throughout the United States. Each golf club fielded an eight-person team (grouped together in four, two-person teams) made up of seven qualifiers from the club and the club’s golf professional. Each of the teams posted its best three, two-person-team net scores, across both days of competition, and the team with the lowest net score — Sandia — was crowned the overall champion. This 36-hole national event was played at Randolph Golf Complex (Randolph North and Dell Urich) in Tucson.

Past OB Sports Team Champions include High Meadow Ranch (2014), Centennial (2013), Monarch Beach (2012), Palm Valley Golf Club (2011), We-Ko-Pa-Golf Club (2010), High Meadow Ranch Golf Club (2009), Tijeras Creek Golf Club (2008) and Sandia Golf Club (2007).
