Dominic Curran named General Manager and Director of Golf at Mt. Graham Golf Club

Accomplished player and manager comes to Safford from New Mexico

Mt. Graham Golf Club is proud to announce the appointment of Dominic Curran as General Manager and Director of Golf. Curran will oversee all golf course, golf shop and restaurant operations at the City of Safford-owned course.

“I’m excited to be back in Arizona, and to become part of a golf club with such an exciting future,” said Curran, who earned his Class A PGA certification in 2008. “A lot of work has already been done to ‘Make Mt. Graham Great Again,’ and I look forward to maintaining the momentum already generated, as well as accomplish the numerous goals we have set out to achieve.”

“We are excited to add someone of Dominic’s caliber to head our extensive revitalization of Mt. Graham Golf Club,” said Phil Green, COO of OB Sports. “He has the energy and passion required to do great things. Mt. Graham Golf Club is in good hands with Dominic leading their golf course.”

Curran comes to Mt. Graham Golf Club from Silver City Golf Course in Silver City, N.M., where he served as both general manager and head golf professional. There, he managed all golf, food and beverage, and grounds maintenance, including hiring and training. Curran’s biggest achievement at Silver City was generating funding for a new clubhouse project by developing a great relationship between Silver Fairways, LLC, and the Town of Silver City.

Prior to Silver City Golf Course, Curran was the 1st assistant professional at Los Altos Golf Course in Albuquerque, and the co-general manager at Sonoma Ranch Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. He also served as Oro Valley Country Club’s 1st assistant professional in Tucson, Arizona.

Born in Phoenix and raised in Tucson, Curran earned B.A.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western New Mexico University. After a standout career on the WNMU Mustang Men’s Golf team that saw him earn NCAA District 7 All-District Team honors in 1999, Curran has gone on to achieve success at numerous club events as a PGA representative. He qualified for both the 2011 and 2012 PGA Professional National Championship, as well as the 2011 and 2013 Taylor Cup teams.
