Whiston stays strong to win Girls Division

Frankie Capan of North Oaks, Minnesota, won the Boys Division of the PING Heather Farr Classic with a tournament total of 5-under-par 208. He carded four birdies during the final round.

Capan is a verbal commit to the University of Alabama. In 2016, he was named Rolex Junior All-America, and won the Puerto Rico Junior Open presented by EaglesDream Golf Academy. In 2015, he won the Target Junior Champions presented by C9.

Nicole Whiston of San Diego, California, won the Girls Division of the PING Heather Farr Classic with a tournament total of 8-under-par 205. She carded six birdies during her final round.

Whiston was the Girls Division Medalist qualifier. This was her first AJGA victory.

Serena Sepersky of Temecula, California, finished six shots back with a tournament total of 2-under-par 211. She carded two birdies during her round.

Erica Shepherd of Greenwood, Indiana, finished with a third round-score of 5-under-par 66. She carded six birdies during her final round. Shepherd is a verbal commit to Duke University, and is No. 29th in the AJGA rankings.

William Wouw of Chino, California, and Clay Seeber of Newport Beach, California, finished T2 with a tournament total of 3-under-par 210. Wouw carded one birdie during his final round. Wouw is a verbal commit to Pepperdine University. Seeber carded seven birdies including three-in-a-row on Nos. 1, 2, and 3. Seeber is a verbal commit to University of California, Los Angeles.
