El Conquistador Golf and Tennis located at the Oro Valley Community Center has lots to offer: fitness classes, yoga, aquatics, a great place to dine, tennis and of course GOLF. The golf course quality and considerable improvements have been led by Superintendent Tyler Rasmussen. Tyler and his team completed the monumental task of transitioning the greens on the Conquistador course from worn and tired Bermuda to lush and receptive Bent Grass this past year. The course agronomy team has also re-invigorated the existing Bermuda greens on the Canada course to offer two exceptional yet varied putting surfaces for the public and the El Conquistador members. 

El Conquistador boasts of one of the finest Tennis Facilities in the Southwest orchestrated by former touring professional, Director of Tennis, Jennifer Fuchs. El Conquistador has 31-lighted tennis courts which annually host a myriad of high profile USTA sanctioned events. The tennis offerings include: junior programs, league play for all levels, private lessons, tennis merchandise, equipment repair, tennis camps, and clinics.

You don’t need to be a member to enjoy all the Overlook restaurant has to offer. The Overlook is open seven days a week and the public is cordially invited.

The Overlook presents Pasta Night every Thursday with a build-to-order pasta action station and an extravagant salad bar. On Sundays, the culinary staff is at it again with a breakfast buffet from 9:00am-1:00pm featuring fresh fruit, Danish, breakfast potatoes a weekly Chef’s special, lots of crispy bacon and a build-to-order omelet station. The Overlook opened in October 2015 after an extensive remodel of the restaurant. 

Matching a partnership between the public and private sectors; the ambience of the restaurant is created by dramatic views of Tucson and an array of original artwork provided by local artists in cooperation with the Southern Arizona Art Guild (SAAG). The partnership with SAAG is another shining example of the Town of Oro Valley’s commitment to arts and culture.

Matching the established with the upcoming, the golf team led by Head Golf Professional Erick Womack and First Assistant Josh Brown has created a vibrant and growing Junior Golf Program.
