Kim Haddow, Head Golf Coach at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus, was selected the 2017 Coach of Character by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The announcement was made in late September.

“Haddow, selected from among hundreds of coaches among the 250 college and university members of NAIA, was chosen because she embodied the five core values that symbolize the award: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and leadership,” said Paige Salveter, NAIA vice president.

Since 2010, Haddow has been the Head Coach of both men and women’s golf teams at ERAU in Prescott. Men’s teams she has coached have won five consecutive Cal-Pac Conference championships. Women’s teams have won four consecutive Cal-Pac titles, and were the 2017 NAIA Golf National Runner--up team.

Before moving to ERAU, the Iowa native had coached at the University of Florida and later, the University of Arizona.

Kim and her husband Mike Haddow (the assistant golf coach) are parents of two adult daughters.
