U.S. Kids Golf Phoenix Spring Tour Set to Kick Off

Lone Tree, Arizona Golf Resort, Vista Verde, Sundance, Talking Stick and Wigwam among courses on the spring schedule

The U.S. Kids Golf Phoenix Spring Local Tour will kick off April 10 at Lone Tree Golf Club, Chandler, AZ. Throughout the spring, U.S. Kids Golf will head to 6 of the finest courses in the Phoenix area.

U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours provide boys and girls, ages 5 to 14, the opportunity to advance their golf skills in age-appropriate competition without having to take the time and incur the costs of having to travel long distances.

Similar to the PGA Tour, players at U.S. Kids Golf events are encouraged to have caddies to help them play their best. Allowing caddies is a special component of our tournaments and is part of our commitment to encouraging family interaction that builds lasting memories. Players age 8 and under must have a caddie at all times.

The top five finishers in each age group will receive priority status from U.S. Kids Golf, granting them priority registration for major events. The Player of the Year in each age group will receive green status, the highest level awarded, which results in an invitation to the World Championship, held each year at Pinehurst Resort.

The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, a Georgia non-profit recognized as a 501(c)(3) charity, was created in 2001 and provides services that include competition and instruction. The Foundation organizes more than 400 golf tournaments for kids each year, including Local Tours in more than 40 cities, ten Qualifiers across the nation, six Regional Championships, a European Championship and the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship and Teen World Championship, which are held each year in Pinehurst, N.C.

In partnership with the PGA of America, the Foundation also supports the U.S. Kids Golf Family Course program, which provides guidelines that help courses make the game easier to learn and more fun for kids and their families.
