The annual Thunderbirds Arizona High School Senior Classic, sponsored by the Phoenix Thunderbirds, was held at Gainey Ranch Golf Club on May 22, 2011, a traditional golf tournament that honors the graduating seniors that played on high school golf teams throughout the state of Arizona in 2011. Sixty-one seniors participated, 40 boys and 21 girls.

“The Thunderbirds host the High School Senior Classic as a way to thank all of the departing seniors, many of whom have played in JGAA events for many years. For these players, it is a way for us to wish them well on their future paths, whether amateur, collegiate or professional,” said Brian Frakes, Thunderbirds Junior Golf Chairman.

In the girls division there was a tie for first place and both awarded a first place trophy, with a score of 73, Shelby Phillips of Highland High School and Dana Finkelstein of Corona Del Sol High School. The second place trophy, with a scorecard playoff of 78, went to Shelby Martinek from Marcos De Niza High School and third place trophy with a score of 78 to Shaina Raskin of Desert Mountain High School.
