Charles Schwab Cup Championship to feature on-course military activities

Complimentary tickets available for military members

On-course military activities will be a mainstay during tournament week at the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup Championship, which will be held at The Cochise Course at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, from November 2-8. The Champions Tour season finale features the top 30 players on the money list from the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup season and also decides the overall season champion.

While on the course, there are a number of complimentary activities for military members and their dependents to enjoy. Military members are invited to enjoy the tournament Thursday-Sunday from the Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost presented by Friends of the Military. Located on the 18th fairway, the hospitality chalet will offer complimentary food and beverages and a relaxing view.

For one-on-one interaction with Champions Tour professionals, active duty military members will have the unique opportunity on Wednesday, November 4, to caddie one hole for one of the top 30 Champions Tour professionals on the signature 17th hole during the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup Championship Pro-Am.

The military pageantry will continue on Saturday, November 7, with Military Appreciation Day at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. A Military Appreciation Ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Tickets for the 2015 Charles Schwab Championship are still available for purchase at SchwabCup.com.

Sponsored by Friends of the Military, complimentary military grounds admission tickets are available to all active duty, Reserve, military retirees, non-retired veterans and their dependents from Wednesday through Sunday of tournament week. Military guests must show a Department of Defense-issued ID at the gate, along with a military ticket voucher that can be downloaded at https://birdiesforthebrave2.sheerid.com/CharlesSchwab2015/. A $1 verification fee per ticket will apply.

General parking off site is available at the Skyranch Airport in Carefree for $10, payable upon arrival via credit card or cash.

The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is also providing the opportunity for any 501(c) (3) non-profit organization in the Scottsdale area to sell tournament tickets to benefit their individual organization through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY Program™. There is no sign-up fee or cost for the program, which allows 100 percent of the net proceeds for each ticket sold through manual ticket orders or online purchases to benefit Scottsdale-area-non-profits.
