Safari with Us!

Pinnacle Point

We are taking ten people next February 2017 on a 2-week South Africa golf safari. Why? Because we went last year and were totally blown away every day. We were the first humans to spot a baby rhino with her single mom, the dad having been poached that year. Our sunset safari cocktail party was enhanced by a parade of giraffes that brought tears to our eyes. We witnessed the entire life cycle of jackass penguins and experienced more wildlife encounters than imagined.

Ocean cliff golf layouts surpass Bandon and Pebble. Wineries deliver special views, nice whites and astounding reds, our favorite color.  Seafood and sweet, not gamey antelope with fresh and healthy accompaniments on every menu were exquisitely prepared.

Accommodations were over the top in luxurious, comfortable settings in the city, by the courses or in the reserves. South Africa somehow changes your worldly perception; changes how you feel about life. It’s hard to explain. There is a longing to return. So when Pro Golf Safari owners asked us to host a group as destination tour operators often do, we for the first time said, “Yes!”

Any US travel agent can sell a package, but do they really know who is driving the car in South Africa and what the local conditions are for golf and travel? Our driver Derek became a trusted friend and we trust Pro Golf Safari team for a safe, smart and very fun, educational time in South Africa. Carl Reiner and partners Morne Coetzer and Jaco De Preez take pride in their relationships with the best in the business and deliver five star experiences.

The trip dates are February 23-March 5, 2017. The cost is just under $5k per person for shared accommodations plus international flights. The first small deposit will be required by the end of August, 2016 to secure the Lukimba Private Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park. 13 nights of lodging and 6 rounds of golf at Fancourt Montagu, The Links at Fancourt, Pinnacle Point, Erinvale Golf Club, Pearl Valley Golf Estate, and Leopard Creek Country Club are included as well as Full English Breakfast daily, 7 group dinners, all meals during your stay at Lukimbi Private Safari Lodge, 2 Game Drives daily during your stay at Lukimbi Private Safari Lodge, Full day guided tour of Cape Point, Table Mountain and Boulders Beach visiting the penguin colony plus Wine Tastings at Vergelegen Wine Estate and Ernie Els Wines. Domestic flights and ground transportation will be covered in the package price.

Excluded from the package price are International Flights to and from USA. (Assistance with International flights available), 6 dinners, Caddies, Gratuities
and Souvenirs. You may want to purchase some authentic South African artifacts to take home. The exchange rates for the rand are extremely favorable right now. The memories will be priceless.

From Table Mountain overlooking Cape Town to the parading giraffes at sunset and all the views in between, South Africa left us calls for our return. The Mother City, Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa and has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years. It is in Cape Town that the Rainbow Nation really covers the spectrum. Between beautiful Cape Dutch homesteads, traditional dancers with painted faces performing in the streets, the smell of spicy Malay cooking and the taste of a well-made wine, this city will fill your senses. Sitting on the buzzing Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the Table Bay Hotel, where we will stay, is one of the best locations in Cape Town, with views of Table Mountain, the harbor and notorious Robben Island. It was, in fact, the prison’s most famous former inmate who opened the hotel in 1997: then-President Nelson Mandela. His footprint looms large across the country.

The spectacular Kruger National Park is South Africa’s biggest reserve, the most well known national park in Southern Africa for viewing the Big Five of Africa (Lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and more. Fancourt, South Africa’s premier leisure resort is situated in the heart of the Garden Route. We’ll spend four of the nights there and fan out on excursions.

We are thrilled that Pro Golf Africa Safaris, the guys we trust, are making this happen with an extraordinary package to fulfill both golfers’ and non-golfers’ dreams. We may bring only ten with us on our exotic excursion. Will it be you and/or your friends?
