With just two months remaining until the Charles Schwab Cup Championship heads to Desert Mountain Club for a third consecutive year and fourth overall, there are myriad opportunities for fans in the local community to be involved in the event’s return to the Scottsdale area. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship, part of the PGA TOUR Champions newly introduced Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, tees off November 9-13.
Pro-Am opportunities
Prior to the competition, the Official Pro-Am for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship will take place on Wednesday, November 9, and Thursday, November 10, giving participants an unforgettable experience by sharing a round of golf with a legend of the game.
With the purchase of a spot in the Official Pro-Am, participants receive a valet parking pass for the day of the Pro-Am, one Weekly Valet Parking in Lot 3 on site, an invitation for two people to the Tuesday night exclusive Pro-Am Pairings Party, a custom gift package and one participant credential that provides locker room access on Wednesday or Thursday and Legends Lounge access on the 18th hole Wednesday-Sunday.

Volunteer opportunities
PGA TOUR events are held with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers every week. The selfless commitment of volunteers enables tournaments to generate millions of dollars for their respective charities, while at the same time providing a fun and memorable experience for each volunteer.
Volunteers for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship will support every element of the tournament, from tracking statistics, keeping crowds quiet, greeting guests and fans, to keeping the grounds beautiful throughout the event.
Interested parties can register as a volunteer for $50; a fee that helps offset expenses so the Charles Schwab Cup Championship can donate as much as possible back into the community. With the registration fee, volunteers will receive a uniform (golf polo, jacket and one visor or hat), meal vouchers for the shifts they work and a volunteer credential allowing access to the championship all week as well as a weekly grounds ticket for a guest as a great add-on in their package.
Additionally, each registered volunteer will receive a commemorative pin, apparel bag, and an invitation to the volunteer appreciation party. Volunteer opportunities are available before, during and after tournament week, and every volunteer is required to work a minimum of three shifts, each ranging from four to six hours.
Volunteers can register three ways: through the online system, downloading the volunteer application (via the volunteer website) or by calling the championship office for a mailed application. For more information, please visit the website at www.Volunteers.SchwabCup.com or contact the championship office at 480.237.2100 x14 or via email KristiLeeFowlks@pgatourhq.com.
