2nd Annual Marilynn Smith Charity Golf Classic set for September 20th

The second annual “Marilynn Smith LPGA Charity Golf Classic” presented by Dolores Hope and hosted by the Mariposa Foundation, Inc. will be played September 20, at the Tuscany Falls Golf Course. The 8:00 A.M. shot gun, scramble format, open to men and women amateurs, will support the Marilynn Smith Golf Scholarship managed by the LPGA Foundation.

Last year’s successful event raised over $26,000, which resulted in the presentation of  five $5,000 scholarships in 2010 to young women who plan to play golf and study business or education at an accredited college or university.

The $175 entry fee includes golf with an LPGA professional, an awards luncheon with live and silent auctions and a goodie bag. Carol Mann, World Golf Hall of Famer with 38 victories and Shirley Spork, a Co-Founder of the LPGA will be this year’s special honorees.
